# Recht op persoonlijk contact van grootouders na een scheiding

Kunnen grootouders contact met kleinkinderen afdwingen via de rechtbank?

## Wettelijk Recht

Grootouders hebben een wettelijk recht op persoonlijk contact met hun kleinkinderen. Ook broers en zussen en derden met een bijzondere affectieve band met het kind kunnen dat recht vragen; de familierechtbank beslist in het belang van het kind (art. 375bis oud BW).

## Procedure bij Weigering

Als ouders contact weigeren, kunnen grootouders de familierechtbank vragen een recht op persoonlijk contact vast te leggen.
